Hilltop Park
	This is an exciting project. Progress pictures will be added as the park develops.

This Park includes lawns of Microlaena stipoides and wildflower meadows consisting of a mix of indigenous grasses and wildflowers.

The Microlaena stipoides lawns have started to germinate.

Five months later the grasses have established even though there was negligible rainfall since sowing. In another year there will be a thick cover of native grass.

Close up the extent of the native grass is more apparent.

After a very dry summer/autumn the site is looking reasonable. Some good rain this winter should see the grasses bulk up and start to really dominate the garden.

By the next Spring the sowing looked very good, promising a great display of wildflowers and native grasses.

Unfortunately the park was slashed just before flowering. We can only imagine it was an accident, but everything was cut to the ground.

Luckily we got plenty of rain and the sowing made a partial recovery before being handed over to the local Council.

Although cut close to the ground, most of the wildflowers made a quick recovery after the rain.

The Spear grass also made a quick recovery.
