Examples of Bad Weed Control

It is hard to believe these days that unskilled operators can find themselves working in high quality remnant vegetation but occasionally this does happen, and with very unfortunate results. Here are some examples of what can happen when the wrong contractor is chosen to carry out weed control in precious remnant vegetation.

Careless spraying of this Serrated Tussock using a spray rig and residual herbicide has created a bare area of soil that has allowed weeds to establish.

Ptilotus macrochephalus sprayed by an unskilled contractor.

Vehicles and grasslands don't mix. This Ptilotus macrocephalus plant was run over by a contractor spraying from an ATV.

Chrysocephalum semipapposum and Stipa densiflora sprayed on a roadside remnant.
