Seed Production Tour 2010

On October the 27th and 29th the Flora Victoria Seed Production Area at Keilor was visited by about 60 people from various private and government organizations. All these visitors are interested in the prospect of using locally sourced native grass seed for projects on the Basalt Plains to the West and North of Melbourne. The response was positive and we hope to have created some excitement about the possibilities of native grass becoming a more accepted form of large-scale revegetation around Melbourne in the next few years. All seed will be certified, and information like provenance, seed viability and purity will be available with all seed that is sold from our seed farm.

Over the two days, four groups inspected our seed production area.
